Tradition since 1757

At 564 metres above sea level, Kitzeck is one of the highest-lying viticultural communities in Central Europe. It is the home of the Schauer winery, whose roots date as far back as 1757 – tradition has always been and will always remain an important pillar of the estate. Today, the passionate winegrowers and brothers Stefan and Bernhard Schauer hold the reins.

Our parents Elisabeth & Karl Schauer have produced a gem for us brothers in Kitzeck. Today, our mother takes care first and foremost of the wine tavern and bed and breakfast. She has made them what they are today: beautiful oases of well-being that bear her signature.
